Shiva Adhikari is a distinguished professional with dual engineering degrees (M.Sc. Eng. & Dipl. Wirt. Eng.) and certifications as a Development Policy Project Evaluator and Project Management Professional (PMP). He is also a respected trainer and speaker with Education Meets Development (Bildung trifft Entwicklung, BTE), a program by Engagement Global.
In Year 2024, Shiva joined the Diaspora Advisory Board initiated by GIZ/BMZ and was appointed by the Hessian Ministry for Labor, Integration, Youth, and Social Affairs as a member of the Hessian Integration Conference, advising the ministry on migration and integration policies.
Since moving to Germany in 1999, Shiva has balanced a successful career as a senior manager in a multinational company with an unwavering commitment to community service. He co-founded Nepali Samaj e.V. in 2003, serving as its chairman, and has consistently worked to promote acceptance, respect, and collaboration within the community through impactful initiatives.
As a co-organiser of Diaspora Summit-Diaspora beyond 2030, Shiva actively fosters cross-cultural and social engagement. His contributions to local politics include membership in the Foreigners’ Advisory Council in Friedberg since 2015.
With a focus on diaspora cooperation, Shiva bridges development policy and integration efforts through impactful projects in Germany and Nepal. His work exemplifies the power of networks, collaboration, and community empowerment in achieving sustainable change.
Guided by his belief that “Acceptance and respect are the foundation of progress”, Shiva continues to inspire inclusive and transformative development, both locally and globally.
