Executive Chairperson - Alefa Diaspora

Mirana Rajoharison is the Executive Chairperson of Alefa Diaspora, an organization she co-founded. Its mission is to increase the impact of the African diaspora in their countries of origin as well as in their countries of destination.

She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and another in Rural Development Management. Before founding Alefa Diaspora, she served as the Executive Director of ADEPT, the Pan-European platform for African diaspora organizations.

Mirana has worked in development cooperation in Africa and Southeast Asia on projects funded by the World Bank, the European Commission, and GIZ. She has experience in rural development, disaster risk reduction, and climate-induced migration.

Originally from Madagascar, Mirana previously worked as an Economic Advisor within the President’s office.
