Dr. Bilall Kasami is the current Mayor of Tetovo, elected in 2021. Born on July 31, 1975, in Tetovo, he graduated in economics from the University of Skopje and earned a doctoral degree in economic sciences in 2011. Kasami has held various roles in public service, including State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy and professor at Balkan International University and universities in Kosovo. He is the founding president of the “BESA” Movement, serving from 2014 onward. Kasami has also been a deputy in the Assembly of North Macedonia.
