The Ulpiana Forum is an international, network-driven initiative addressing the rapid change, mobility, and volatility that characterize our time. These shifts bring both challenges and opportunities, reshaping economies, societies, and political landscapes worldwide.
Diaspora communities are among the most resilient and adaptable in this dynamic context, a reality increasingly acknowledged by policymakers and stakeholders. A recent report by the EU Global Diaspora Facility, which surveyed 110 countries, identified 439 active diaspora institutions globally, underscoring the importance of diaspora engagement.
Led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosova, the Ulpiana Forum draws on the diplomatic and developmental capabilities of states and their partners to strengthen diaspora engagement. This forum serves as a multi-stakeholder platform that promotes dialogue on diaspora impact and strategically enhances partnerships in this essential field.
These partnerships provide a strong foundation for states to connect with diaspora communities more intentionally, advancing contributions that address contemporary challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities in today’s rapidly changing world.
