Dr. Jen Dickinson is a Lecturer in Development Geography at the University of Southampton in the UK, focused on diaspora mobilisation, and addressing the intersections between diasporic identities, economic development and geopolitics.  She has published in over 20 journals and given more than 100 talks on diaspora civil society, diaspora youth political voice and agency, and diaspora diplomacy. Her research interests are models of diaspora mobilisation and governance, impacts of diaspora economic and political mobilisation in origin countries, and diaspora youth political voice & agency as active citizens. She completed my PhD in Geography at the University of Leeds (UK), and was a lecturer at the universities of Winchester, Leicester and St. Andrews.
