Jehona Gjurgjeala is founder of TOKA, an organization that aims to improve Kosovar society by investing in the education of its youth. She has extensive experience in organizational development, management and execution in both profit and non-profit enterprises. She worked and studied for 15 years in the UK and Denmark, and returned in 2015 to establish TOKA. Today, TOKA is Kosova’s largest volunteering organization – supporting a national network of over 1,000 volunteers annually and over 25,000 youth alumni. For her work, Jehona was awarded the 2019 Youth Changemaker Award from the FortheGood movement in Kosova. Jehona completed BA and MA degrees at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also holds a Professional Certificate of Education Policy from Georgetown University, and received her second Masters degree in 2023 from the University of Vienna in Social Management and Innovation.
