Mr. Alexander Albertine is an economist, diplomat, and career member of the United States Foreign Service. Mr. Alberine is currently serving as the Director of USAID Kosovo’s Office of Economic Growth where he oversees a portfolio of foreign assistance projects in energy security and renewable energy generation, private sector competitiveness, inclusive development, investment promotion, workforce development, climate change adaptation, and cybersecurity. Additionally, he leads in coordinating USAID Kosovo’s efforts to engage diaspora in supporting Kosovo’s economic growth objectives. Mr. Albertine previously served as the Director of the Office of Economic Growth in Myanmar, as a Mission Economist in Kenya and in Egypt. He has also conducted short-term assignments with USAID in Thailand, Jordan, Georgia, and Malawi. Prior to joining USAID, Mr. Albertine worked as a political and economic analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense in Afghanistan, and as a consultant in Washington, DC.
